1st half of Barsons to Bloggers

As the title suggests I have only read the first half of “Barons to Bloggers”. It was extremely interesting to read about the distance media has travelled over the years, yet how much further it has to go. Its exciting to realise I am experiencing a rare period of rapid change within the media. Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects pointed out in this book is the internets vast amount of information and it’s impressive ability to filter it out through websites such as google.

It is equally exciting to realise the impact the media has over a democracy. Can a democracy exist without scrutiny from the media? NO! The media keeps everyone accountable, whether it be politicians, athletes, police, anyone within society. The development of blogs has seen even more scrutiny and greater freedom of speech.
